Settling In...

Well, we have moved out of the apartment officially! Yesterday was spent cleaning and moving the final things out of the apt. It is always so annoying but totally worth it this time since hopefully we won't be moving again anytime soon :)

With Jeremy's parents help, we have finished painting the master bedroom (a greenish blue grey color) as well as the main hallway (light brown color). We still have to finish the main living room and kitchen and front door area.  It is hard work, but the finished products look so good!

Most of our stuff is still in boxes and spread out in random places, mostly the garage, but we are slowly putting things away. We have so much more space it almost makes it more difficult! I'm loving all the space in the kitchen, we unpacked some pint glasses today that we haven't seen or used in like 3 years!  Yes, we still need them!



As for wedding updates... there isn't many.  We lucked out and now have a DJ though!  My friend and co-worker is also a part time DJ and the weekend of our wedding opened up recently. I am relieved, and Jeremy (who was in charge of finding us a DJ) is off the hook!  The next decisions that need to be made soon are the cake, florist, and invitations! I'm hoping now that we are more settled in we will have some time to do wedding planning stuff. Hoping.  I emailed the wedding photographer today so we should be scheduling engagement photo shoot soon, yay! Thankfully the weather is getting slightly better because I am so not wearing a sweater or winter coat in the pictures!

Homeowners!

Well I can finally say that I am a homeowner!  Everything went through on Wednesday evening, so Jeremy and I grabbed some take out and a bottle of champagne and enjoyed them both on our NEW BACK PORCH. It's our favorite part of the house because it overlooks our large yard with lots of trees and a little seasonal creek.  There is still a lot of work to be done, including packing up our messy apartment!  Pics and more info to come!

Wedding Update: Save the Dates

...We are SO BUSY these days!  I am up to my ears in wedding planning, house buying, and work... Although most of this is fun and exciting, it is also quite stressful.  To add to the mix I got in a car accident Sunday and am trying to field a million phone calls about that as well.   Moral of the post?  Be patient for updates & in the mean time check out our wedding website:

Happy Valentines Day

but really, we should show people love everyday, not just today!

anyways, i had to work until about 4pm - jeremy spent the day having lunch with his mom and preparing to make dinner for me :)  he smoked salmon in his giant smoker he got for christmas {see middle pic above} made salad and asparagus. we also had delicious oregon red wine, bread with olive oil and vinegar and see's candy for dessert! it was nice to sit down and enjoy a good meal together at home - the cutter looked on waiting for any scraps of course!

Wedding Update 1

Well, here it is, the first blog about our upcoming wedding!  Yes I will almost for sure be creating a separate wedding website hosted by The Knot or some other free site - but I figure I can do my little by little updating on here :)   Maybe no one cares, but at least then I can look back and see the timeline and how things progressed for myself.

Dates to know so far: 

Engagement = Christmas Day, December 25

Dress bought = January 8th; Mom, Laurie, Oriana and Milena present.

Yup, I already have my dress!  No we have not picked a date or venue, shoot we have not even picked a season yet. We are leaning towards just doing it this summer, possibly early July, so that we can have Jeremy's little brother Matthew in attendance for sure (he is graduating from the USMA in June and we don't know where he will be stationed and when he will be available after July).  So back to the dress :)  I tried on 2 dresses, LOVED the first one, but then put on number 3 and realized that was it.  Just to see I tried on another one kinda similar to #3 but no go... After putting it back on and dressing it up a bit with earrings, a veil, a sash and some "bling" I knew it was the one - mom cried so I guess she knew it was too! It is beautiful, and I can't wait for Jeremy to see me walk down the aisle in it.  <3
