30 Weeks

The belly seriously grows SO much in a week during this 3rd trimester, it's crazy. I'm barely fitting into my hospital uniform scrubs.... Might have to switch to just wearing my scrub jacket (seems to be the uniform of choice for the many pregnant girls at my work... You can wear a black t-shirt under the jacket and just button at least one button - I will get a picture this week!).

Jeremy, the pups and I all went to the coast again this week. We had a wonderful Valentines day dinner at our favorite Cannon Beach restaurant, the Irish Table. It's a small little place with a small menu but it is SO yummy. Our favorite part of the meal was the savory lobster bisque- had many big chunks of lobster, yummy. The weather wasn't very good this week but we managed to get one day on the beach to let the dogs play when it wasn't pouring rain, and of course I got some pictures:

29 Weeks

Time is really starting to fly by, seems like just yesterday I was finding out I was pregnant. Ok that's a lie, it actually seems like a really long time! I'd be lying if I said a nice big glass of wine didn't sound amazing right about now :) but I will happily abstain for another few months - I want this little girl as healthy as possible! So far she seems to be growing well... At my appointment today my doctor said "wow your belly is ALL baby!". She also said I've gained an appropriate amount of weight (which if you're dying to know is about 20 pounds) - she said I could and might gain about a pound a week until the baby is born, ah! That's a lot more weight! How is my body handling it so far you ask? Well, I have good days and bad days... After my prenatal massage Wendsesday, the good days are more frequent this week! Last week my sciatic pain was close to unbearable at times.... Made for VERY long 12 hour shifts at work. I'm hopeful this weekend will be better (and I've scheduled another massage in a few weeks... Might have to move it up a week if it gets bad again!).

In other news, we have snow! About 3-5 inches surprisingly. Kona is loving running around in it, and then plopping down by the fire to dry off. Jeremy and I have been luckily enough to have the last two nights off but we both go back to work tomorrow night so fingers crossed the weather gets better or at least doesn't get any worse. Have I mentioned how much I love my commute to work now that it's only about 15 minutes?!

Some pictures from this week:

<--- Brr!

Drinking the glucose drink... You have to chug it within five minutes then come back and hour later to get your blood drawn. It was like a room temperature sprite with a ton of extra syrup in it. Not so good!

24.5 weeks!

Passed the viability mark and cruising right along! I'm getting bigger and bigger these days, which I suppose is normal but honestly - just so strange... My belly button has definitely flattened out, but not popped, yet. It's close. Jeremy finds this pretty amusing! I can't imagine just how big this belly will stretch.

So far I've been feeling ok- getting over a cold, and now thanks to having a new furnace placed, getting over some massive allergy/asthma attacks (we had to use our wood stove to heat the house for about a week). I'm still coughing at times but it's much better overall. I see the doctor next week, and yes I will tell her all about it.

Baby girl seems to be doing well - she's kicking and moving all the time! It's pretty much the coolest feeling and really makes you feel pretty amazing knowing you're actually growing a baby in there! I'd heard it was the best feeling, but it really is special. Jeremy has even felt a few kicks now, so fun!

It's a .....

GIRL!!

I forgot to post these pictures from our gender reveal at Thanksgiving. Jeremy and I found out at my 19 week ultrasound but tricked my family into thinking we didn't know yet then gave out cupcakes with color on the inside... I had fun watching people guess what they thought and then see who was right!

Jeremy is not quite ready for all the pink, bows, lace, and dresses... But I know he's going to have the biggest daddy's girl on his hands in just a few more months ;)

(Attempting to take selfies... And please disregard Jeremy's mustache - it was "movember"!)

21

Over halfway there, I can't believe it!! Time has gone slowly so far but I have a feeling it will zoom by these next few months. I Had my anatomy and gender ultrasound right before Thanksgiving - the doctor reports that everything looks great so far so that's great to hear! She also confirmed that the radiologist agreed with the technician, it's a GIRL! I didn't have much of a feeling one way or the other until that morning, I really thought it was going to be a boy! Of course Jeremy was hoping for a boy, so we were both quite surprised when the tech said girl! I couldn't be happier, I just wanted a healthy baby and so far we have that. Fingers and toes crossed that she continues to grow and stays healthy in there :)

17 Weeks (and 4 days)

I feel like I've gained a million pounds lately (it's more like 5 though) - but this picture just looks like my weight has shifted around a little?! Anyways, I'm definetly loving my materninty pants these days.

16 Weeks

Not exactly the best picture of me. When does the pregnancy "glow" start because I definitely do NOT have it yet!
