Looking Towards the New Year

As January and 2012 creep closer and closer I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our friends and family. We were blessed this year and were able to spend time with so many family members!

The week before Christmas my parents and Aunt Laurie came into town for the weekend - we took that opportunity to invite over Jeremy's grandpa and his wife as well as Jeremy's parents. It also just so happened that his brother Matt and his wife were in town for a wedding so they also came over! It was so much fun having everyone at our house; my first time really entertaining- it went well! We had lots of yummy snacks, the huge tree was all lit up and decorated, fire was burning in the woodstove & drinks were flowing. A giant game of Taboo even happened, with no fights! My team won of course :)

The weekend of Christmas was spent in Bellevue with my family this year. We had delicious food and a lot of laughs (as usual!). This year also marked the first time Jeremy and I visited as husband and wife- we got to stay in the guest bedroom together!! Cutter also enjoyed the trip, my dad spoiled him with bites of Christmas dinner: prime rib!

2011 was an overly incredible year for both Jeremy and I- it is hard to believe how fortunate we are. I hope 2012 is filled with just as many exciting and happy times for us and all of our family. Love to you all.

Duck Hunting

So dark at 5am!
Well Jeremy finally convinced me to go out into the woods with him and cutter (and a couple of his co workers). I figured I better give in now while the weather isn't TOO awful- so I got up at the 0400 wake up call and put on like 10 layers of clothes and hopped in the truck. We ended up at a duck blind not very far from the parking area, so that we nice, except that it ended up being not a great spot. The boys shot at birds a few times but couldn't get any to drop... So after about 4-5 hours we gave up and came home. Although my feet ended up being really wet, I had a good time watching Jeremy do his thing. Here are a few pics from my iPhone:

Just Living Life

Well nothing much to report at the Condon household... Though time is flying by! I can not believe it is almost November (and almost Jeremy's birthday) and Christmas is just around the corner- wow!

We were hoping to have a woodstove installed tomorrow but it is pushed back a couple weeks due to our fireplace being a little abnormal. I'm really excited to have one though so its worth the wait.

Speaking of waiting... Still waiting for the wedding photos to be finished editing. Maggie from Honeysuckle Photography said she should be finished with them by next week- I am so excited! I'll share the link here when they arrive.

And now, a picture or two from our daily life... Via my new iPhone 4S :)

Not Quite A HoneyMoon

But we did get to escape for a quick overnight mini camping trip out in Tillamook, Oregon at Jeremys parents property. We spent the amazingly gorgeous day at the river - went out for pizza - had a campfire and roasted marshmallows- then slept in our tent. It was a quick trip but lots of fun. I have pics on my camera to upload still, but here's an iPhone photo or two for now. By the way- this blog is posted via my phone- SO happy Blogger finally made an app :) yup, I'm a dork!

26 days.

WOW can our big day really only be 26 days away?  I'm truly amazed at how fast time has been going by - it seems like just yesterday Jeremy was down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree at our old apartment :)  Wedding plans have come together nicely, for the most part, and I'm happy to say I'm ready to get married!  NO that does not mean everything is ready to go for the wedding though... I am honestly regretting plated dinner option and the fact that I still need to figure out escort cards. Ugh, seems like an easy task but I just am not sure how to do it - too many options! Oh well, I have a few weeks to get it finished!  Keep sending in those RSVP cards people, theres still quite a few out there!

(not quite me... yet...!)

Working Outside

A weekend or two ago Jeremy had the weekend off (and I headed up to Bellevue for my bridal shower) so he set out to the backyard to cut down some trees. Ok, a LOT of trees! He even got a few from the front yard as well.  It does look really good though, I will admit :)  Here are a few iphone pics of our little family out in the backyard this 4th of July weekend.

Photos!

A couple weeks ago we received ALL the photos from our engagement shoot with Honeysuckle Photography... to be honest, there were quite a few pictures that turned out really good! I had my doubts and was worried I wouldn't be able to pick enough that I liked!  Here are a couple that aren't online anywhere yet, but go to their website by clicking HERE to see more.

Engagement Photos

Another item off the checklist, a really fun one!

On Monday Jeremy and I met with our wedding photographers to have our engagement pictures taken. I was so worried all week because the weather has been awful and rainy and cloudy... not ideal for having outdoor pictures taken!   However, we lucked out and got a few hours of sunny, relatively warm weather!  Our pics were taken at Edgefield McMenamins and The Vista House - great choices by our awesome photographers - I loved the variety at McMenamins, and the view and sunset at Vista House were so amazing.

Here is a link to a "Sneak Peek" of our pictures, the rest should be available in a few weeks ---> Honeysuckle Photography

Let Them Eat Cake

Little by little the wedding is getting planned.  I can not believe it is only 93 days and 13 hours away!  The most recent decision made was the type and design of the cake.

Jeremy and I finally made it up to Bellevue/Seattle the other weekend and met up with Matt of Starry Nights Catering - he was awesome to meet us on a non normal business day first of all, we got to taste about 7 different types of cakes, and he is so passionate about his work - we were very impressed.  Surprisingly Jeremy and I came to a decision fairly quickly on what flavor of cake we wanted.. there will be two to help appease everyone (especially my chocoholic family members!).  I am SO excited to see how the design turns out that we planned and even more excited to taste the yummy cake.  As a bonus, we don't even have to save the top of the cake because Starry Nights makes us a brand new one on our 1 year wedding anniversary!

The only other progress being made having to do with the wedding is my mom and I picking out a few little things for the table centerpieces, and first round choices on food have been made. Final decisions in the works :)

Sunny Sunday!

It was so nice out yesterday, so we got up [semi] early and after enjoying a lovely breakfast of homemade cinnamon roll and coffee - we visited Home Depot and Lowes for some supplies.... Here are a few pictures of our day!  So far, mostly loving being homeowners!
